Photo Contest – terms and conditions

PART 1 – GENERAL INFO

  1. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions. 
  2. Employees of the promoter and agencies associated with this promotion (Fika Edge Partnership) are ineligible to enter the competition, as are their immediate families.
  3. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. All entries become and remain the property of the promoter and agencies associated with this promotion (Fika Edge Partnership).
  5. Winners of the competition must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Australia.
  6. Only one entry is permitted per person. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  7. To be eligible to enter, individuals must, during the Promotion Period: 
    1. Be an Instagram follower of FikaEdge_Shoebox
    2. Complete Fika Edge email subscription form
    3. Take a picture of (or with) our Shoe Box product and post on Instagram with the correct event hashtags

PART 2 – WINNING CRITERIA

  1. The promoters will judge the participant’s picture according to how creative he/she is in making the contested product (i.e. giant shoebox) standout.
  2. The entrants are judged, out of 10 points, through the following winning criterias:
    • Appropriateness to the contest theme (Max 2 Point) – The entry photo appropriately highlights the product, and successfully make the contested product shines.
    • Creativity and Uniqueness (Max 2 Points) – The entry photo has a creative edge and stand out from all the other entry photos.
    • Innovative Caption (Max 1 Point) – Caption underneath the entry photo complements the photo in a thoughtful and comprehensive way.
    • Audience Appeal (Max 1 Point) – The entry photo has an appealing quality specific to our target audience (i.e. shoes/sneakers lovers).
    • Visual Design (Max 1 Point) – The entry photo evidently has been designed carefully in terms of good lighting/filters and/or photo decorations.
    • Quality submission (Max 1 Point) – The entry photo is a high quality image.
    • Overall aesthetic impression (Max 1 Point) – The entry photo has a good first impression quality and is aesthetically impressive.
    • Extra Bonus point by sharing on your stories and tag Fikaedge_Shoebox instagram (Max 1 Point). 

PART 3 – ADDITIONAL T&C

  1. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
  2. The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in immediate cancellation of the prize. 
  3. Prize cannot be exchanged for another itinerary. 
  4. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. 
  5. The promoter reserves the right to substitute any component of the prize for an itinerary of equal value at their discretion.
  6. Once the prize has been confirmed by Fika Edge Partnership, the prize is deemed non-transferrable.
  7. Prize includes — small size giant shoebox // dimension // custom colour and design by the winner. The prize DOES NOT include the postage cost should the winner require a delivery/postage service. That being said, FREE delivery service is available for addresses that are within 25 km of Perth CBD radius. 
  8. Shipping/Postage fee – The winner can either pick-up the prize at the allocated pick-up spot, or request a delivery/postage service. FREE delivery of the winning prize is ONLY available for addresses within 25km radius of Perth CBD. 
  9. In the event that the winners’ address lies outside the 25km of Perth CBD radius and a delivery/postage service is required, the cost to deliver the winning prize will be the winners’ responsibility. A postage fee invoice will be sent to the winner by their email in which the winner is required to complete the payment within 14 days before Fikaedge Partnership can dispatch the winning prize to their given address.
  10. Time of receiving prize — the winner will not receive the price right away after the contest is announced. The giant shoebox is custom made individually to person, the time frame of creating and shipping would take about 10 – 11 weeks.
  11. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by laws.
  12. Promotion commences at 10:00 am AWST, Monday, 19 October 2020. Entries close 5:00 pm AWST, Sunday, 1 November 2020.
  13. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules.

  15. The information you are asked to provide to the Fika Edge is personal information and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. The Fika Edge will not disclose this information to other parties other than in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
  16. All entries become the property of the promoter and the Fika Edge Partnership. The promoter and the Fika Edge may use the entrant’s names and literary pieces for any commercial purpose, including future promotional marketing and publicity purposes. Literary pieces will be published in an anonymised format.
  17. Entries will be judged at the FikaEdge_Shoebox on October 24 2020 and the winner’s name will be published on the Fika Edge Shoebox Instagram and Fika Edge website within 3 days after the winning criterias are assessed and decision is reached.
  18. The winner will be notified in writing by email within three (3) working days of the conclusion of the competition.
  19. If Fika Edge is unable to contact the winner within 2 days of the draw and Fika Edge has made every effort to contact them with the information provided by the entrant then the Fika Edge will award the prize to another valid entrant.
  20. All entrants who choose to ‘opt-in’ consent to have their contact details (title, first name, surname, email, mobile or landline phone number, mailing address and post-code only), released to Fika Edge Giant Shoebox Promotion Contest and receiving ongoing marketing material and correspondence from Giant Shoebox and Fika Edge Partnership.
